Shirts (Polos, T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Jackets)
Left or Right Chest
Sizing: Typically sized between 2" and 4" wide or about 3" tall.
This is one of the more common placements. Can be placed above a pocket or on a pocket if the pocket is large enough.
Some garments with Inside pockets (jackets, etc.) may not be able to be embroidered on this placement.
Center Chest
This placement is centered on the garment between the left and right chest.
Sizing: This size can be the same as left chest or a little larger, but smaller than full front sizing.
Left or Right Sleeve
Sizing: Typically sized between 2" and 4" wide or about 3" tall.
Placement: On short sleeved garments the placement is just above the hem, about a half an inch. On long sleeved garments the placement is on the bicep area. We are currently not able to embroider lengthwise down a sleeve. See our screen print options if requesting lengthwise.
Left or Right Cuff
Cuff placement is heavily dependent on the garment style and so is the design sizing.
Sizing: On closed cuff garments (long sleeved polos, sweatshirts, jackets etc.) the maximum width for this placement is 2.5" wide. On dress shirts or cuffs that can be opened the maximum size is 3.5" wide.
Options: ON cuff or just above cuff. There are some garment styles that ON cuff is not possible, for instance, if the cuff is very narrow and is not a stretchy fabric.
Full Front
Sizing: On Adult size garments, typical design sizes range from 8" to 12" wide or up to 10" to 12" tall. On Youth size garments, typical design sizes range from 6" to 10" or up to 8" to 10" tall. Some style garments will have limited space available for the design (sweatshirts with front pockets, etc.).
Placement: The design starts near the top of the shirt, between 1" and 3" from the hem. We are not able to decorate full front placement on garments that have a front breast pocket.
Split Front
This is an option for garments with either a zipper down the front or buttons.
The design is split on either side of the zipper. We cannot embroidery on the zipper but each half of the design is placed as close as possible to the center of the garment, leaving about a 1" gap in the design.
On baseball style button shirts we can nest the design between the buttons close to the edge and get an almost seamless appearance of the design. On the side with the buttons the design is duplicated underneath so that the top layer with the button holes lays over it creating little visible interruption of the design.
Sizing: The size for these designs is the same as full front, or based on the location of the buttons for available space.
Hood
Sizing: Size of the design on a hood can be up to 4" wide.
Placement: This placement is centered at the top of the hood near the hood seam.
Options: Read while hood is down, Read while hood is up.
Left or Right Collar
Placement: At the tip of the collar on either the left or right side.
Sizing: Typically this is a very limited size area and will vary depending on the garment style.
Mock Left or Right
This is an option on garments with a crewneck collar.
Placement: Vertically centered on the collar on either the left or right side.
Sizing: Size can be up to 3.5" wide, but the height is limited to the height of the collar, which may only be up to 1" tall.
Back
Sizing: On Adult size garments, typical design size ranges from 8" to 12" wide. On Youth size garments, typical design size ranges from 6" to 10" wide.
Options: Full Back, Middle Back or Lower Back
Placement: Full Back is placed over the shoulder blades near the top, Middle Back placement starts at the bottom of the sleeve openings, Lower Back placement is about 3" from the bottom hem.
On hooded garments the standard Full Back placement of the design is a little lower to maintain the readability of the design while the hood is down.
Back Left or Right Shoulder
Sizing: Typically sized between 2" and 4" wide.
Placement: Placed on either the left or right shoulder blade.
Back Yoke
Sizing: Typically sized between 3" and 4" wide.
Placement: Placed just below the hem on the back.
Back Collar
Sizing: Typically sized between 2" and 3" wide.
Placement: Placed on the collar, centered.
Caps
Front
Sizing: Maximum height for this placement is ~2.3" tall. The width is limited by the placement of the seams on the cap.
Options: Front Left Side, Front Right Side. Front left or right side is for a design you want off center but still on the front panels of a cap.
Left or Right Side
Left Side of the cap is the most common.
Sizing: Maximum size for this placement is ~2.5" wide.
Back
Sizing: Maximum width for this placement is ~3.5" wide
Options: Arched or straight. Arches on caps can vary. Please measure against your hats to see if you need to make any adjustments to the arch.
Pants and Shorts
Left or Right Leg
Placement: On long pants this placement is on the thigh, below the pocket if there is one. On Shorts, this placement is just above the bottom hem.
Sizing: Typical size for this placement can be between 2" and 4". We are currently not able to embroider lengthwise down a pant leg. See our screen print options if you are lengthwise.
Left or Right Lower Leg
Placement: On long pants this placement is just above the bottom hem.
Sizing: Typical size for this placement can be between 2" and 4".
Bags
Front Pocket or Front
Placement: Centered on the front pocket or pouch of a bag or backpack. This is the most common placement on bags.
Sizing: The size for this placement will vary depending on the available space on the bag. Inside pockets, straps or obstructions near this placement can inhibit decoration on some styles of bags. Some styles may not be able to be decorated.
Top Flap
Placement: Typically on duffle bags this position is centered on the top flap.
Sizing: Sizing can vary depending on the style of bag. Typical size is between 3" and 4" wide. Coolers or thick materials may not be able to be decorated.
Left or Right Side
Placement: Centered on the side or end of a bag.
Sizing: Sizing can vary depending on the style of bag. Typically between 3" and 4" wide.
On bags with removable pockets (golf bags, luggage, etc.)
Placement: Centered on the available space of the removed pocket.
Sizing: Depending on the available space sizing for this placement can vary. Large heavy bags cannot be decorated unless the pocket detaches fully.
Other (Aprons, Scarves, Blankets)
End
Placement: On scarves this is the most common placement of a design. Placed a couple of inches away from either end of a scarf.
Sizing: Since the width of scarves can vary the size for this placement can range from 2" to 4" wide.
Corner Angle
Placement: Placed at an angle in the corner. On Blankets this is the most common placement of a design.
Sizing: Typical size is 3" to 4" wide, however due to the large amount of space on a blanket we can make it much larger by request.
Left or Right Pocket
Placement: On waist aprons there are typically three pockets across the front.
Sizing: The size for this placement is determined by how large the pocket is and will vary by style.
Front
Placement: On full length aprons this is centered at the top of the apron.
Sizing: Based on the available space on the apron the size may be between 3" and 5" wide.
